About Us
Beny Blaq Entertainment (BBE) will provide professional showcase events that will expose spoken word poetry in the form of intriguing performances and showcase events. These events will assist in bridging the gap between professional spoken word artists and people who have an interest in the art form.
Our purpose is meant to encourage potential visionaries to use their God given talent to express their ideas and thoughts in the most positive fashion. We will do this by implementing performances that form direct interactions with Tony Award recipients, poets that have performed on Broadway, and at the Apollo, as well as poets that have been featured on the HBO hit television series Def Poetry Jam. With their participation, they can assist in the development of routines, stage productions and delivery techniques.
While there are numerous spoken word events in the DC metro area, these events have become redundant by failing to shed light on new perspectives and on points of views. What will set BBE events apart from others is the ability to display artists who deliver a wide range of art in the form of spoken word to the masses, while exposing the talented men and women who are living their dreams.
BBE plans to host events starting this summer.
